Activists push for same-sex 'marriage'The Australian Marriage Equality group is continuing to push for the right for homosexuals to 'marry'.This week the group launched the results of a survey they commissioned - it was conducted by Galaxy Research. They announced that the poll found that 60% of Australians think same-sex couples should be able to marry in Australia. But prior to that question, the researchers asked a question about the recognition in Australia of same-sex marriages that have been conducted in other countries where it is legal... Click here for the full Galaxy poll results - including the questions on page 8. Senator Bob Brown immediately quoted the poll in an effort to get the federal government to change their policy and allow 'marriage'. Following that, an openly homosexual MP from South Australia, Ian Hunter, said he wanted to 'marry' his partner... and wants the Labor Party to change their policy at their upcoming conference! So are they content with 'relationship registers'? Clearly, No. The homosexual lobby groups want full 'equality' including the status of 'marriage'! Australian law states that marriage is between a man and a woman - and that same-sex' 'marriages' from overseas will not be recognised. We need to keep it that way in the best interests of children and society generally! |
