Politics is an important issue in our society.

It raises many questions for the Christian such as:

• Should Christians be involved in politics?
• How is our country governed?
• What is our responsibility as citizens and Christians?

SALT SHAKERS believes that religion and politics DO mix! As part of being salt and light in the community, we must also be involved in the political process.

We must ask the question: "If Christians aren't making the rules, who is?"

Political Parties

With a new round of state and Federal elections about to start in 2010 we need to be prepared with some background information on who stands for what.

We have decided to take a look at the main contenders to see who runs them and what they really stand for. This review is not definitive, but we trust it will be a useful guide to help you better understand today's political landscape.

As we add more information over the next few months, following the articles appearing in our Monthly Journal, we hope this will give you an idea of their basic philosophy and policy.

To date we have The Australian Greens and The Australian Sex Party.
