Christianity - the message of Jesusbible_cross_flower

This section of the website contains articles and information on Christianity and the message of Jesus Christ ... who came as the Son of God to offer salvation to all those who believe on Him, confess and repent of their sin and follow Him.

Our Statement of Faith is in our About Us section. It highlights the key beliefs of the Christian faith.

The starting point, and the priority, for Christians is to believe and follow the teachings of the Bible - both Old and New Testaments. Spreading the good news of the gospel that Jesus came to save us is vital.

However, Christianity does not just concern the spiritual dimension or section of our life.
Of course it is that - our relationship to God is vitally important.

However it is more than that. Our Christianity must be applied in EVERY area of our lives - as we note in the 'Worldviews' section, Christianity has something to say about ethics, law, science, politics, economics, history and more.

Through our faith we address issues such as culture, art and entertainment. Christianity informs our view of the world - in helping others, addressing poverty, providing medical care - and in addressing the major moral issues of our time.

In fact, Christianity has a response to every major aspect of life.

Salt Shakers cannot - and doesn't try - to address every area of life or deal comprehensively with all matters regarding the Christian faith.
When we started Salt Shakers, we were well aware of the work of the Church in matters such as welfare, youth and family. In fact we were actively involved in those areas. We were concerned that the church was generally not active in societal matters - and in fact in many instances, they were not aware of the legislation being proposed by government and the changes occurring in society. That's why we address those particular areas.

This page, however, has some resources, and topic pages, on some aspects of Christianity. It is by no means exhaustive - there are numerous websites that specifically deal with Christianity. We encourage you to visit them.

Various sections are provided in the tabs at the left. . .
