Activists push for same-sex 'marriage'
The Australian Marriage Equality group is continuing to push for the right for homosexuals to 'marry'.

This week the group launched the results of a survey they commissioned - it was conducted by Galaxy Research.
They announced that the poll found that 60% of Australians think same-sex couples should be able to marry in Australia. But prior to that question, the researchers asked a question about the recognition in Australia of same-sex marriages that have been conducted in other countries where it is legal...
Click here for the full Galaxy poll results - including the questions on page 8.

Senator Bob Brown immediately quoted the poll in an effort to get the federal government to change their policy and allow 'marriage'.

Following that, an openly homosexual MP from South Australia, Ian Hunter, said he wanted to 'marry' his partner... and wants the Labor Party to change their policy at their upcoming conference!

So are they content with 'relationship registers'?
Clearly, No. The homosexual lobby groups want full 'equality' including the status of 'marriage'!

Australian law states that marriage is between a man and a woman - and that same-sex' 'marriages' from overseas will not be recognised. We need to keep it that way in the best interests of children and society generally!

Polygamy the new frontier

Recently, in the USA, the New Hampshire parliament legalised same-sex 'marriage.

Almost immediately a lobby group that promotes polygamy, Pro-Polygamy, claimed they wanted 'marriage' rights too, saying it was 'discrimination' and 'bigotry' not to allow them to marry several people.
The Governor originally said he wouldn't sign the bill and insisted on chages to allow religious groups to NOT particpate in such same-sex 'marriages'. Governor Jake Lynch said he had heard “compelling arguments that a separate system is not an equal system.”
So he changed his mind!

Give in on one front - and another one will open up.
So stand firm!

NOW the UK government is moving to REPEAL the free speech clause!

Christian Concern for our Nation has prepared a detailed Information and Action Pack on this proposal by the UK government.

20 May 2009 - Dinosaur soft tissue and protein found
Have you heard that scientists have found soft tissue and protein in dinosaur skeletons?
If these creatures really did die out 80 million (or 60 million or whatever they claim) would their remains really still have soft tissue?
The answer? NO!

Creation Ministries report on the latest discovery...
"Mary Schweitzer announces even stronger evidence for amazingly preserved flexible blood vessel and cell structures from dinosaurs. This time they are from the bones of a plant-eating dinosaur (hadrosaur / duck-billed dino) rather than a T. rex. And this time she performed the tests the critics demanded to prove this beyond reasonable doubt. Objective chemical measurements show that proteins should not last anywhere near the claimed 80 million years even if frozen. So this discovery should by rights be the end of the billions-of-years paradigm."
See the CMI article

Dinosaur soft tissue and protein—even more confirmation!

Budget - deficit, spending and more

The federal government has released its new budget. From the situation, at the election of the Rudd Labor government in Nov 2007, of having NO federal government debt we are looking at a debt of $58 billion in the next year. An overall deficit in the coming years of more than $200 billion - possibly up to $300 billion - will put our future generations in debt for many years to come.

Yes, we know there is a financial crisis, and there has been a reduction in revenue from resources - but the spending of money that we don't have (in an attempt to save jobs etc etc) is a concerning development.
