The Parliament of the World's Religions starts TODAY in Melbourne

The Parliament of the World's Religions is being held in Melbourne from 3-9 December, 2009. PWR composite religions

The event is being held at the Melbourne Convention and Exhibition Centre, with around 650 programs and 800 speakers. (PWR website)

See more on our page about the PWR - click here.

We're concerned about the promotion of interfaith activities such as the PWR which put all religions on a level playing field. Whilst the organisers say that religions don't 'worship' together, religious activities will be held each morning at 8 am.

Your help is needed!
* Wherever you live, you can pray.
Pray that God's Holy Spirit will impact those attending with the message that Jesus Christ is the only way to God the Father.
* There will be a 'silent witness' with banners outside the Convention Centre tonight, Thursday evening from 6.30pm to 8pm.
Also each morning from 7.30 am to 9.30 am whilst 'religious observances are being held (4-9 Dec)

The response has been organised by the Acts 4:12 Committee which is concerned about the influence of interfaith activities and is keen to promote the claims of Jesus Christ who says "I am the way, and the truth and the life - no one comes to the Father except through me"' (John 14:6).
A website has been set up - http://www.pwrdeception.com/
Four pamphlets, that explain some concerns about the event, are posted on the website.Â
